Rev. Miles Lee Trout, age 90 of Cheshire, died Sunday evening September 8, 2013 at his residence. Born September 17, 1922 in Gallipolis. Miles was the son of the late James W. and Nell Board Trout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife, Ada E. Saunders Trout, by his second wife, Helen A. Shuler Trout, and by 6 brothers, French, Rex, Wayne, Dennis, Harry, and Forrest Trout.
Miles retired as a supervisor from Columbus Southern Power Co. He also was the Pastor of several area churches through the years. He was a member of The Silver Memorial Freewill Baptist Church, The Gallia County Ministerial Association, and the Gallia Quarterly Freewill Baptist Conference. He was also a World War II Veteran, having served in the Army Air Corp.
Miles is survived by 4 children, James Trout of Oak Hill, FL. Ellen Neal of Rockledge, FL. Mark (Kim) Trout of Gallipolis, and Cameron (John) Berger of Cheshire. 6 grandchildren, Kristen Trout, Amanda Trout, Katie Patten, Kaleb Patten, Olivia Trout, and Joshua Trout. 1 great grandson, Charlie Corbitt. Also surviving is 1 brother, Brooks Trout.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Friday September 13, 2013 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 PM.
