Obituary

Norma Jean Halley, age 82, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday morning November 2, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 18, 1934 in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ada Rice Haskins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a son, Gary Halley, by a son in law, Gerald Walter, and by two grandsons, one granddaughter, and her step mother, Goldie Haskins.

Norma is survived by eight children, Jacequeline Walter of Gallipolis, Connie Halley of Gallipolis, Juanita Lively of Heiskell, TN, Carol (Kerry) Proffitt of New Holland, Carla Halley of Gallipolis, Loretta (Harry) Woodyard of Belle Chase, LA, Cathy (Larry) Six of Pt. Pleasant, and Terry (LaDonna) Halley of Martinsburg, WV. A step son, Justin Hill of Gallipolis, 18 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM. Friday November 4, 2016 at Providence Cemetery, with Joe Nott officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Greg Thivener, Adam Jagers, Robert Lively, Jack Russell, Jonathan Halley, Justin Hill, Benjamin Halley, Richard Barnes, and Zacheria Woodyard.

Norma's request was that flowers be omitted, and contributions be made to Providence Cemetery.
