Norman Lee Parsons, age 88, of Crown City, Ohio died Sunday morning February 15, 2026 at Arbors at Gallipolis. Born December 21, 1937 in Crown City, he was the son of the late Leslie R. Parsons and Elizabeth J. Shriver Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife; Betty Lou Waugh Parsons; 3 brothers; Sherman Lawrence Parsons, Stanley 'Buddy' Parsons and James Parsons; and by 3 sisters; Beatrice Parsons, Freda Blamer and Joan Parsons.

Norman was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1961 – 1963. He retired as a freezer operator from Borden Ice Cream Company after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Welch Road Baptist Church and later Victory Baptist Church.

Norman is survived by 1 brother; Melvin Parsons of Crown City; 2 sisters; Doris Kusan of Galena and Hazel Woodworth of Galena.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Wednesday February 18, 2026 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Unroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Victory Cemetery. Family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM. till time of the service.

Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard.
