Okey Brice Hanning age 81 of Bidwell, passed away on Friday January 27, 2023, at his residence. Born July 27, 1941, in Ripley, WV he was the son of the late Walter Eugene and Hazel Salome (Cunningham) Hanning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Harold Keith Hanning.

Okey was a retired independent truck driver. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving his Country from 1960-1964. A member of Grace United Methodist Church, Gallipolis Lions Club and VFW Post #4464.

Okey was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosemary (Brown) Hanning of Bidwell, a son, Walter Keith Hanning of Bidwell, 2 daughters, Jodi Lynn (Winston) Norman of Des Plaines, IL. and Erica Hazel (Aaron) Hoover of Gallipolis along with 6 grandchildren, Dr. Erin Li, Devon Hanning, Jenna Rose Hanning, Elizabeth Hoover, Hannah Hoover and Jase Hoover, and 1 great granddaughter, Lena Kahn.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Ray Kane officiating. Full Military Honors will be presented at the church by VFW #4464 Honor Guard.
