In loving memory of Paul E. Martin

April 22, 1958 – October 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul "Rat" Martin, a husband, proud father, grandpa, and cherished friend, who left us after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles "Pete" and Laura "Pat" (Lee) Martin. Brothers, Charles "Chuck" Martin Jr., Frank "Doug" Martin, Thomas Edward Martin and sisters Martha Martin and Linda Rohrbaugh.

Paul was the kind of man who liked to tinker on cars and small engines, go to derbies and raise chickens and a garden. But more than his skill with a wrench, Paul will be remembered for his unique sense of humor. He had a joke for every occasion— often clever and unfiltered.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary (Boyd) Martin; his children John Paul (Brittany), Jeff (Erica), and Joe (Samantha); his grandchildren Jaxon, Mikenzie, Mikayla, Gracelyn, Mikendra, Lydia, Knox, and Adalynn; brothers Terry (Christina) Martin, Randy (Teresa) Martin, Todd Martin; sisters Margret Adkins, Sue Goelling, Carolyn (DeeDee), and Rosa Martin (Sean Sewart) all of Crown City, Ohio and countless nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday October 16, 2025 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral Home with Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in King Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with Paul's funeral expenses.
