Richard Edward "Eddie" Haynes, age 56 of Gallipolis died Thursday February 29, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center. Born November 30, 1967 in Kanawha County, WV he was the son of the late Charles Richard Haynes and Joyce Landers Haynes. In addition to his father, he was preceded by 1 son; Corey Haynes.

Eddie was a gift from God. He changed his wife Jackie's life when she was broken. He did not have a mean bone in his body. Eddie was a kind, caring, truthful person and was respected and loved by everyone, and known as the voice of reason. He had a great sense of humor and could make everybody laugh. A big part of his life was his love of music, along with being a computer enthusiast, a gamer and enjoyed working in ai graphics.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kay Brannon Haynes of Gallipolis; daughter, Zoe Haynes of Chesapeake; step children, Cory (Starr) Whitlatch, Shannon (Jeremy) Banks and Chadd (Jessica) Whitlatch; grandchildren, Kourtnie (Seth) Bounds, C.J. Whitlatch, Haley Whitlatch, Briar Whitlatch, Bella Foreman, Gabby Foreman, Arie Foreman, Braxton Mattox, Morgan Whitlatch, Addison Whitlatch, Gracie Banks, Connor Yost, Brenlan Cincaid, Harlee Whitlatch and Julian Whitlatch; and special friends, Heather Harrison, Lance Hughes and Christine Mullin.

As per Eddie's wishes, no services are being scheduled.                                        Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
