Richard Anthony Shockley, 52, of Lebanon, OH peacefully went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 with family at his side at Cedarview Healthcare Center. Richard was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 1, 1961 to the late Harry W. and Shirley N. Shockley.

Richard leaves to mourn a beloved son, Richard Anthony Shockley, Jr. of Seattle, WA; one brother, Michael Shockley of Honolulu, HI; sisters, Patricia Rippy (Julius) of Lebanon, OH and Anita Tole of Columbus, OH. Nieces: Jeanine Sipp (Coree) of Loveland, OH; Naomi DeMarco (Jonathan) and Deanna Rippy of Cincinnati, OH; Gabriella Tole of Columbus, OH; LaToya Tole of Lantana, Florida; Nephew, Jordan Tole of Port Saint Lucie, FL; loving Aunts, Mary Jones and Alzona Holmes of Dayton, OH and a host of other family and friends.

Richard spent most of his young years in Dayton, OH where he attended Roth High School. His ever-searching desires took him around the country. He settled in Seattle, WA where, as a single parent, raised his son who was his pride and joy. He became a member of Christian Faith Center in Federal Way, WA where he came to know and serve his Lord and Savior until his failing health dictated his sister bringing him to Ohio to care for him.

A grave-side service at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens in Gallipolis, Ohio will be held 1:00 PM. Saturday, May 3, 2014 by Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home.                                                                       In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Miami Valley, Dayton, Ohio.
