Stanley O. 'Buddy' Parsons, age 76, of Crown City, died Tuesday April 16, 2013 at Abbyshire Place. Born May 18, 1936 in Crown City. He was the son of the late Leslie R. and Elizabeth Jane Shriver Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by an infant sister, Beatrice Parsons.
Buddy was a retired farmer.
He is survived by four brothers, Norman (Betty) Parsons of Crown City, James Parson of Crown City, Lawrence Parsons of Gallipolis, and Melvin Parsons of Crown City. Four sisters, Freda M. Blamer of Mt. Vernon, Doris (Tom) Kusan of Galena, Hazel (John) Woodworth of Columbus, and Joan Parsons of Grapevine, TX.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM. Sunday April 21, 2013 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-9 PM.
