Gallipolis
Sadly, our beloved, Su C. (Huang) Singer, age 89 of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 29, 2025. Su was born on February 22, 1936 to Shang and Luu (Liaw) Huang, in Taipei, Taiwan.
Su met her future husband, James Albert Singer, when he was stationed in Taiwan and where they were then married. From this marriage, they were blessed with 3 children, James Jr., Maria, and Linda. Unfortunately, she was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and daughter, Linda Dalton.
Su is survived by son James, daughter Maria (Phil) Von Ville; grandchildren: Joe (Shannon) Dalton, Justin Singer, Meghan (Mike) Burt, Kristen Von Ville, Tony Singer, Austin Von Ville and Mary Singer, along with 7 great grandchildren and daughter-in-law: Molly Singer. She also leaves behind many extended family, including niece Debbie Howell who has been very helpful to the family; ex daughter-in-law Sherri Michel-Singer and special friend Theresa "Dale" Inman.
Prior to the birth of their second child, the family moved to the United States and within 5 years, Su became a naturalized U.S. citizen on March 26, 1963. In her younger days, Su loved to cook (everyone loved her fried rice), go clogging, bowl, go on trips, and she even obtained a deer hunting license. She at one time, was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was an avid platinum card supporter of the National Foundation of Disabled Veterans.
