Sue E. Canter, age 58, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 7, 2026. Born April 1, 1968, in Gallipolis, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. Ball and Judith Shriver Ball.

She was known as quick witted, funny, silly, courageous and strong. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild and enjoyed spending time with them. Some of her favorite activities were going to the beach, camping, and vacationing with family.

Sue is survived by her significant other, Kenny Pitts of Jackson; daughter, Nicole Bostic of Gallipolis; sons, Kevin (Anndi) Bostic of Gallipolis and Levi Pitts of Jackson; grandchildren, Riley Bostic, Josiah Green, Amelia Bostic and Norah Bostic; great grandchild, Ezra Comer; sister, Debbie (Robbie) Collins of Seaman, Ohio; and by a special cousin Brian (Kelly Jo) Shriver of Bidwell.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM. Saturday September 12, 2026, at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Sturm officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM. till time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 in Sue's memory.
