Thelma Jane 'Susie' Garlic, age 88, of Gallipolis, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2013 at Holzer Senior Care Center. Born April 5, 1925, in Gallia County, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Walters Sibley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her Husband: Hoadley Garlic Jr.; 1 Daughter: Beverly Spears; 3 Brothers: Clarence Sibley, Roy Sibley, and Clyde Sibley; 3 Sisters: Garnet Ramey, Roma Pickett, and Goldie Sowards; and by 1 Grandchild.
Susie was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by 1 Son: Roger (Darlene) Garlic of Gallipolis; 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday July 27, 2013 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Pickett, Bob Pickett, Ray Barcus, Chris Brill, Mike Sibley, Paul Shoemaker, and Briggs Shoemaker.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Arthritis Foundation in her memory.
