Thomas S. Moulton age 85, of Gallipolis, died Friday June 8, 2018 at his residence. Born August 11, 1932 in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl Chandler Moulton and the late Lucile Moore Moulton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his Wife; Suzanne 'Sue' Cherrington Moulton; 3 Sisters; Sarah "Sally" C. Minkler, Martha Cunningham, and Nancy Moulton; 2 Brothers; Chandler Moulton and David Moulton; Father in law; William Cherrington; Sister in law; Henny Evans; 2 Brother in laws; Robert Minkler and Bud Cunningham; and by 1 Nephew in law; Jamie Sipes.
Tom was a United States Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War. He moved to Gallia County in 1969 and he practiced law before becoming the Gallia County Probate/Juvenile Judge. He retired as judge after 24 years of service. Tom was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church and a longtime member of the Gallipolis Kiwanis Club and Elks Lodge #107.
He is survived by a Son; Thomas S. Moulton Jr.; Daughter Sarah 'Libby' Fitzwater; Grandchildren; Molly M. Fitzwater and Abigail S. Fitzwater; Brother in law; Dean Evans; Mother in law; Mary 'Beth' Cherrington; Nieces; Marilyn (Warren) Aldrich; Barbara (John) Splinter; and Lucy Sipes; Nephews; Bob (Debra) Minkler; William (Kristen) Evans; and David (Jenny) Evans. He is also survived by many great Nephews and Nieces.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday June 14, 2018 at St. Peters Episcopal Church, with Rev. A.J. Slack officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday June 13, 2018 from 4 PM to 6 PM.
Full Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
