Tony Mark Straight, age 53, of Patriot, died Monday February 10, 2014 at his residence. Born October 8, 1960 in Ironton, Ohio. He was the son of Bill Straight of Buckeye Lake, Ohio and the late Bonnie Shepherd Straight. In addition to his mother, Tony is preceded by a sister, Linnie Foor, and by a brother, Tim Roland. Tony was a construction welder.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Dorthia Rutt Straight, who he married on June 7, 1985 in Columbus, 2 daughters, Elisha (JD.) Miller of Patriot, Destany (Allen) Campbell of Patriot, 1 son, Kevin Straight of Germany, 3 brothers, Kenny (Heather) Straight of South Point, Willie Straight of Columbus, and Tim (Lisa) Straight of Columbus, 3 grandchildren, Trey Campbell of Patriot, Sage Miller of Patriot, and Liam Straight of Germany. Also surviving is a number of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday February 13, 2014 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home 810 2nd. Ave. Gallipolis with Brother Larry Casteel officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM. until the time of service. Pall bearers will be: Kenneth Straight, Derek Straight, Chris Straight, J.D. Miller, Willie Straight, Ken Straight, Denny Rutt, and Allen Campbell.
Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the United States Army and the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
