Viola J. Blazer, age 56, of Gallipolis, died Sunday October 14, 2012 at Holzer Medical Center. Born April 26, 1956 in Jackson, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Vaile E. Ireland and Juanita Harrison Ireland of Gallipolis. In addition to her father, she is preceded by a brother, Roger Ireland.
Viola was a loving caregiver and a member of Addison Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita Harrison Ireland of Gallipolis, husband, Kenneth R. Blazer who she married on December 7, 1985 in Gallipolis. 2 sons, Kenneth (Megan) Blazer Jr. of Crown City, and Kevin (Monica) Blazer of Pt. Pleasant, WV. 8 brothers and sisters, John (Viola) Ireland of Springfield, OH., Ruby Mercer of Springfield, Bryant (Debbie) Ireland of London, OH., Marie Pierce of Columbus, Earl (Teresa) Ireland of Gallipolis, David (Teresa) Ireland of London, Cathy (Harold) Frisby of Wellston, an Lisa (Tom) Kemp of Vinton.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Thursday October 18, 2012 at Addison Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Barcus officiating. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with Viola's funeral expenses.
