Obituary

William Monroe Hall, age 89, of Crown City, died Sunday June 26, 2011 at Holzer Medical Center. Born February 1, 1922 in Beaver, Ohio. He was the son of the late John and Bertha Mooney Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Lillian Daniels Hall, a daughter, Frances L. Unroe, a sister, Bonnie Halley and by a brother, Ray Hall.
Monroe was a retired welder and farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe during World War II. He attended Victory Baptist Church. He loved to play bluegrass music and was an accomplished guitar player.
He is survived by: 5 Children, Daniel E. (Kathy) Hall of Cincinnati, William 'Bill' (Dawn) Hall of Rio Grande, Sharon (Gerald) Rankin of Crown City, Kay Woodall of Myrtle Beach, SC. And Brenda (Scott) Myers of Huntington.
16 Grandchildren, and 18 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM. Wednesday June 29, 2011 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM. until the time of service.
Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
